An easy course that doesn't involve much stress. Students have to learn and memorize a lot of grammar but it is easy once you understand the concept.
This course focuses on acquiring and mastering basic skills to be used throughout the AP Spanish program. You will develop proficiency in the areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening to Spanish through daily assignments, independent work, frequent projects, and daily communication in the language.
Summary:
Mr. Benefield is a fantastic teacher. Every topic that he explains is very very clear. He is an amazing teacher who is very kind, and generous.
He gives many extra credit opportunities.
There will be group projects and individual assignments.
There will be no homework from a few days before a test/quiz.
There will be answer keys available for all the study guides. It will be beneficial if you check your study guide answers with the answer key.
Tips:
I felt like this class was stress-free, so if you are interested in Spanish, I recommend you take it.
Always do the study guide before taking a test, because they are going to look alike.

Spanish II PreAP (Kilkenny)
Info:
Spanish II (Pre-AP) is a continuation of Spanish I. More advanced grammar and vocabulary are presented. Conversation and pronunciation are stressed to a greater degree. Culture lessons continued to be presented. AP track Spanish II will include more vocabulary, conversation, reading, and writing, and will include continued foundation building of skills needs for the AP exam. A larger percentage of the class will be conducted in Spanish.
Prerequisite of B+ or above in Spanish I or Spanish I (PreAP)
Summary:
Ms. Kilkenny is great at explaining all the concepts.
There will be homework every day but she always makes sure that it is not going to be stressful for students.
There will be small group activities every day either with your partner or the group you are sitting with.
There will be many group projects based on grammar concepts.
Ms. Kilkenny sometimes gives extra credits included in the tests.
There will be answer keys available for all the study guides. It will be beneficial if you check your study guide answers with the answer key.
Tips:
If you don't know the meaning of a Spanish word in a test/quiz, ask Ms. Kilkenny, she will always tell you the meaning unless it is one of the vocab words of that lesson.
Always do the study guide before taking a test, because they are going to look alike.
Ms. Kilkenny gives time to finish homework in class, utilize it in the right way.
