Law Club (Vogel)

Info:

Law Club is a mock trial team. Mock Trial is a competition in which students simulate a real trial. The trial concerns an official ISBA (Illinois State Bar Association) case that remains the same throughout the entire academic year. The case alternates between a civil and a criminal case every year. The case is entirely fictional, taking place in Illinois. Teams consist of six to ten members. Each team will compete against other schools in school-to-school competitions, regional competitions, and state competitions. Teams must prepare both sides of the case (prosecution/plaintiff and defense) for every competition. This means that any given person could have two roles: one for each side of the case. The season starts November 1st (when the case is released) and ends in mid-March at the close of the state competition.

Timings:

Law club doesn't take place during the club period. It has separate timings.

It is conducted on Sundays for two hours. The timings are usually sometime in the afternoon.

Tips:

This club gives you a chance to participate in two clubs. So, if you are interested in participating in two clubs, I recommend you to join this club as well as any other club that you like.
